The Metamorphosism Challenge

According to Mig, "NaNoWriMo is for sissies." Sign up for The Metamorphosism Challenge and write not one, but two novels next month. Make a note, though, that writing under hardship conditions is required, but drinking heavily will probably help.

I hit 200k words on my MT blog yesterday, can I turn that in instead?

Depends what you drink while you blog.

I've never heard of NaNoWriMo before! I just signed up. I wonder if I can live through a month of no sleep and only alcoholic beverages for sustinance...? (I'm hoping to write the Charles Bukowski way.)

What? We can drink while we blog???? No one told me that--I've wasted years!!!!

Well, I am already in the middle of a two novel dare. :-)

I am working on writing two for the October Novel Dare held by a different bunch of writers unaffiliated with NaNoWriMo or this particular group.

More details on our Dare here:

But, Vera, is there drinking going on?

Well, phooey. My creative muse is gone. No more drinking (heavily or otherwise) for me for at least a year. We just found out we're having another baby. So from now on, if I say really stupid, uncreative things (as if I didn't before) you will know why. Barley and Hops have left the building....

Vera's dare is obviously a fake. I went to that site she links and no one there sounded panicked. Or drunk.

Folks, I don't think we've reached the drinking stage just yet with the Dare. But the month is still young! :-)

Congratulations, Misty!

Misty, if surreal or absurd writing is your thing, you will find PRSD (parenting-related sleep-deprivation) will give you a big boost in that department.

even though i'm not taking part in the challenge...(sorry :\) i did want to stop by and congratulate misty.

CONGRATS!!!
