Thank you to everyone who participated in the Bridge of Birds discussion. If you didn't read it, you should (eventually). It's really fun and sweet.

Looking forward to Life of Pi...

Amy, thanks so much for hosting. I'm sorry I haven't been around much recently, but I may pop in this weekend to add my two cents to the discussion.

Amy, thanks for selecting this one -- it was both fun to read and enjoyable, thus a good starter for me to participate in the group discussion. I still love the part about the Ginseng hunters.

For those of you who enjoyed this book, I would recommend, The Laughing Sutra by Mark Salzman, one of my all time favorite novels. Colonel Sun is a classic and classy character.

Sorry I was unable to join in this month's discussion. I had my vacation last week, and job interviews. I put Life of Pi on hold at the library, by time I got back from my vacation, my hold had expired, so I had to get back on the list. Hope I get it soon.

thank you for the selection, Amy.
i'm enjoying all the selections, so far, on the different cultures. ;)

Amy, I echo Manda's apology. The discussion caught me in the middle of three trips, and I just didn't have time to read it. From your discussion and the general description, I definitely will try to eventually. Sorry I missed it.

a colleague told me about life of pi. very interesting. good for people like me who has short attention span and can't read 'deep' contents. haha! how's the book so far?

Life of Pi is actually a very deep book. It's a fable, tall tale, and morality story all in one. I loved it.

I'm working on Life of Pi. I'm sure I'll have it done soon. I'm reading 4 others that a really good, so it's got some competition, but I'm enjoying it. I have some ideas for July, if I may be so bold, and no one has already made a suggestion.
