No questions in the survey about RSS/news feeds? It asked about bookmarking and how often I visit, of which I do neither, but I do read all the posts via RSS.

Fleela, thanks for taking the survey and for reading! Interest right now is on the kind of traffic actually visiting the site.

I've only just become familiar with how RSS works. A few months ago, I had discovered that the feed I was serving made all of the site's posts unreadable because there weren't any paragraph breaks. I hope the one you're using looks okay.

You may want to offer more than one format for site feeds. For example, offer RSS and Atom at the very least. Then there's the fact that there are *three* main flavors of RSS - RSS 2.0, RSS 0.91/1.0 and RSS 0.9/1.0. I'm guessing that many feed readers will use either RSS 2.0 or Atom but some will still use one of the older formats.

Another decision for ya - full post in the feeds or just an intro?

Ain't syndication fun?! ;)

woo hoo i did the survey! do i get a gold star? :)

Zonker, as far as I know, I think I serve two feeds: Atom and RSS 2.0. Since syndication is something I know little about, I signed on with FeedBurner because their service is supposed to make feeds friendly for all the major readers. One of these days, I'll take some time to actually figure out how it all works.

Jess, LOL. Yes, a gold star for you. Thanks for taking the survey!

Done.

Thanks, Jim!
